This pitcher and dish are made from slabs of porcelain clay. The pitcher has a wheat texture impressed into the clay while it is still wet and in slab form. The plate is decorated with slip at the same stage. They were fired in the salt chamber of the wood kiln. The plate was fired up side down resting on the pitcher resulting in a beautiful glaze drip. on one corner of the plate.
